Hungry yet? Amish Acres’ hand-hewn Restaurant Barn is the spot for a traditional Threshers style dinner. Bean soup in iron kettles, vegetables, mashed potatoes, dressing and meat entrees are served family style. Top off the evening at the historic Round Barn Theatre. National home to Plain and Fancy, a story of Amish life and love, the theatre offers a repertoire of Broadway style musicals throughout the year.

Morning
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and board the bus for a Brown Bag tour of Amish Country. A step-on guide leads the way to Amish owned countryside shops, where each shopper receives a special gift for their brown bag. As lunch time draws near, head off to a nearby Amish homestead for a traditional meal and an antique quilt trunk show by local quilt historian Rebecca Haarer.
Afternoon
It’s time to shop ‘til you drop! More than 95 specialty shops await in Shipshewana’s quaint downtown shopping district. The Shipshewana Flea Market, open May-October, is fun place to hunt for a bargain on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Menno-Hof, relates the Amish/Mennonite story through interactive displays and knowledgeable guides.
Evening
Sit down to a bountiful family-style dinner at Das Dutchman Essenhaus. All of the traditional Amish favorites are served including chicken, noodles, mashed potatoes, and homemade pie. Afterwards, choose one of Essenhaus’ optional hands-on craft activities, shopping in the Essenhaus Village Shops or just relax in your room.

A once in a lifetime experience awaits! Attend an Amish Cooking Class at the Yoder family home and learn how to make an authentic family-style meal. After a traditional sit down dinner, enjoy a ride in the family buggy. One last stop for shopping - load up with fresh produce, handmade crafts and homemade treats at the NEW American Countryside Farmers Market.
