Five generations of farm and family life are preserved in this restored farmstead surrounded by acres of gently rolling hills and cornfields. From the porch of the white farmhouse, the view of the 150-year old barn, original granary and fieldstone smokehouse might have inspired a Grandma Moses painting. Stabled horses, an “edible” quilt garden and vintage tractors complete the picture.
Many original features are preserved in the main house from the antique quilts to the red-tiled fireplace and flared bathtub. Guests, led by storyteller guides, can trace the property’s history from the American Civil War to its current owner and hostess Kori Cripe (herself the great, great, great granddaughter of a neighboring farmer).

2010 Quilt Garden
The Basket - SIZE: 40’W X 40’H
What an inspiring collection of plants Kori Cripe, owner of Meadow Brook Farms has selected this year! The owners of this historic civil war era farm have taken a creative look at the farm’s past and a broader view of the farming heritage of Indiana for the inspiration to create this edible garden.
