A Night at the Museum flashlight tours
Saturday, October 11, 2014
7:00PM - 9:00PM
3rd Annual Night at the Museum.
Watch Nappanee history come alive when the lights go out at the Nappanee Center on October 11, 2013. “Night at the Museum” is a production, now in its third year, presented by the Nappanee Public Library in partnership with the City’s Historic Preservation Commission.
Visitors to the Center will be guided on flashlight tours through interactive vignettes with live actors portraying the parts of Nappanee citizens. The program will take place between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., and set design will include historical items from the Nappanee Public Library’s Evelyn Lehman Culp Heritage Collection. Learn about life on the home front during WWII, a famous choral conductor, a rocket scientist, and more!
An added bonus to this year’s production is the blooming of Nappanee’s Fall Flower Carpet just outside the Nappanee Center. Enjoy the dramatic lighted display of 7,000 mums placed in an arts-inspired pattern of dazzling color on the 100 block of North Locke Street!
