Celebrate visual and performing arts along Elkhart’s Gateway Mile with “pop-up” galleries, entertainment, fun for kids, and street happenings. Food & beverage specials.


April: Student Art– Showcase during April’s ArtWalk Festival, enjoy the talents of Elkhart’s most up-and-coming artists, students! Elkhart Community Schools K-12 Student artwork will be displayed in locations all throughout Main Street. Join us on Wednesday, April 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Elkhart to support our area’s student artists!


May: The Flower Show– Spring is in the air! Join us for our May Elkhart ArtWalk for The Flower Show, an artistic celebration of all things floral. Celebrate beautiful buds and blossoms in varying media and join us for a special tribute to mamas everywhere for Mother’s Day!


June: Music in the Air– With the Elkhart Jazz Festival soon approaching, we are celebrating local musicians, performers, and artistic interpretations of music during June’s Elkhart ArtWalk.


July: Chalk a Block– During July Elkhart ArtWalk, get in touch with your inner-child and get ready to paint the town with sidewalk chalk! In between browsing local artwork in downtown stores, grab some chalk and make your mark on downtown Elkhart!


August: Dog Daze-“As the dog days of summer wane, we’re hosting a celebration of all-things pets! During August ArtWalk, our focus will be on beloved pets and animals portrayed in varying forms of media. Leashed dogs are encouraged to accompany their owners!


September: Remembrance– During September Elkhart ArtWalk, we’re honoring the events and people of the past. Artists will be invited to showcase visual representations of memory, whether that be a personal memory or the memorialization of the tragic events on September 11, 2001.


October: The Color Purple– October Elkhart ArtWalk is hosting exhibitions featuring the color purple In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month. Artists are invited to explore the color itself, of feature powerful visual statements about the dynamics of abuse and gender equality.
