Junior Achievement Lemonade Day

Lemonade Day has taken Elkhart by storm the past few years inspiring the minds of Elkhart’s future business leaders. What better place for young entrepreneurs to learn about Elkhart’s roots of business innovation than at the place where it all started–the Havilah Beardsley House? The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow.

They do this by organizing and running their own creative lemonade stand. The Havilah Beardsley House is a designated pick up site for students to get their Lemonade Day project backpacks. While there, students can learn firsthand about their community’s roots in business enterprise. The Havilah Beardsley House property at the corner of Beardsley Ave. at Main St., Elkhart, one of the busiest corners in the county, will host a very special lemonade stand on the big day.
