LOVE AMERICAN STYLE: A Look At Love Through The Great American Songbook

From Gershwin to Sondheim, Love American Style is a New Cabaret by dynamic duo, Carrie Lee Bland-Kendall and Gino De Luca. Carrie Lee & Gino preformed for many years in the Chicago Musical Theater scene and are happy to bring this special show to the Goshen area.

Carrie Lee Bland-Kendall is an actor, singer & producer who calls Goshen, IN home. Born in Bangkok, raised in Berlin and Savannah, Carrie Lee honed her craft as a singer, actor, stage manager and producer for more than 20 years. During that time, she was a stalwart in the Chicago Musical Theater community. Appearing on film and television, she also lends her voice talents to commercials and animation. Her favorite roles include: Lady Thiang in The King & I, Jenny Diver in Three Penny Opera, Yvette in Miss Saigon, Rhetta Cupp in Pump Boys and Dinettes, Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, Belle in A Christmas Carole, Rosie Alverez in Bye Bye Birdie, Chava in Fiddler on the Roof and Little Red in Into the Woods. Carrie Lee is co-founder of GoShakes Theatre company, manages @DavidKendallArt and is a producer for Kendall-Pictures.

Originally from Chicago, Gino De Luca earned his PhD in Voice Literature from the University of Iowa. A life-long singer, pianist, and improvisational artist, Gino performs a wide variety of repertoire styles including Cabaret, Musical Theatre, Jazz Standards, Popular Songs, Operetta, and Opera. Cabaret-style shows being his life-long impassioned specialty, Gino’s area of research and PhD dissertation is on the genre of American Cabaret and The Great American Songbook. From accordion lessons at the age of six, Gino has extensively performed for most of his life. His favorite roles include: Sparky in Forever Plaid, Count Gil in Susannah’s Secret, Toby Witless in Prick O’ the Rose, Pontifex II in Saint Matthew’s Passion, and Raggedy Andy in The Navy Pier Players. His dream is to one day own and run his own cabaret room: Cabaret DeLuca. Come to the cabaret!
