In the German One Room Schoolhouse, school’s out! Though a Flag Coloring Contest will be in session – celebrate our great symbol of hope and freedom while testing your coloring skills. The teeter totter will be in constant motion, horseshoes will clink, the kids can milk Betsy the Cow and harness Henry the Wooden Horse, a pick-up volley ball game and pin the tail on the donkey have no age limit.

The city of Nappanee is holding its annual Memorial Day parade at 10:30am, starting in the parking lot of the Nappanee Elementary School. The parade will go west on Centennial St. to Main St., then south to Lincoln St, and then ending at Nappanee City Hall. It’ll be followed by a memorial service at 11am. Children stay free and receive Amish Acres portion of the package for $25.
