Shipshewana Livestock Auction

The Shipshewana Livestock Auction is held every Wednesday, year-round as farmers from all over the Midwest come to trade hay, pigs, cows, sheep and goats.

Weekly Livestock Auction Schedule:
10 a.m. Hay
10:30 a.m. Feeder Pigs
11 a.m. Dairy Heifers / Dairy Cows
12:30 p.m. Feeder Cattle
2:30 p.m. Veal, Sheep, Lambs, Goats
4 p.m. Butcher Bulls, Fat Cattle, Cows
7 a.m. – noon Hog Market

All livestock and hay auction buyers should get a buyer number in the livestock office prior to bidding. Please show your buyer number card when making purchases. There is a 5% buyer’s premium on purchases, which will be waived if you pay with cash or check.
