Elkhart

The City with a Heart

Elkhart's Next Act
The classic line from West Side Story, “something’s comin,’ something good…” could be the motto for this city “with a heart.” There’s a new focus on creativity with uniquely themed gardens and outdoor sculpture, downtown’s eclectic ArtWalks and an exciting season of live performance at the magnificently restored Lerner Theatre.

Where the Art Is
The $18 million restoration of the historic Lerner set the stage for downtown’s arts & entertainment revival. Five nearby – and distinctly different – museums blend unique collections and storied pasts. It all comes together in the SoMa (Supporting Our Main Assets) District, a repository for retro retail, eclectic eateries and the all-new RiverWalk Culture Trail, a set-your-own pace walking tour lined with inviting sites & stops.
