Ever get tired of going to the same old places for a bite to eat? Fast food this, drive-thru that? Well, luckily, there is an alternate and unique eatery located close to the heart of downtown Elkhart. The Moringa Tree, situated on E. Jackson Blvd., is an organic cafe that specializes in healthful dishes with the zest of gourmet.

The name behind this cafe derives simply from … the Moringa Tree. In many cultures, this tree is known as, “the tree of life.” Owner and Elkhart native, Jenny Rusnell, wanted to emulate the rich nutrients of said tree into the mission of her restaurant. By using local, organic and nutrient-dense ingredients, Rusnell has done just that for the patrons of Elkhart.

Whether you are stopping in for lunch, a revitalizing juice for that 2 pm lull or to peruse through their organic products, the knowledgeable staff will guide you to what it is you need. Besides their made-from-scratch dishes, The Moringa Tree also offers an assortment of body wellness items. Also organically made, these items range from face wash to lotions, and are fiscally accommodating.

Beyond the realm of creating wonderful food and wellness assortments, this au natural cafe offers multiple other services. Meal planning, healthy natural lifestyle coaching, nutritional counseling and even catering … to name a few! The Moringa Tree has bridged the gap between the ease of eating out with making healthy choices. If you have not been there already, this gem is something you must experience.

Love what The Moringa Tree has taught me. I have severe RA and just learning how eating the “good” foods is easy but also doable. I have lunch there at lease once a week, Wonderful owners. You really feel that they care.
