Elkhart County and Topeka Independence Day Fireworks Schedule (July 3 – 4)

July 3 – Elkhart

The City of Elkhart’s fourth of July fireworks display will be held at its new location in downtown Elkhart on Tuesday, July 3. Entertainment begins in Central Park at 7 pm. Guests are encouraged to view the fireworks from this location.  Call 574.295.7275 for more details.

July 4 – Nappanee

Celebrate the 4th of July at Stauffer Park in Nappanee. This fun filled day includes a parade, the Junior Olympics,face painting, fireworks, tailgate toss tournament, Nappanee’s Got Talent, and much more.  The fun starts at 8 am; fireworks begin at dusk.  Call 574.773.2112 for more details.

July 4 – Topeka

Yankee Doodle Dandy
The Lerner Theatre, Downtown Elkhart’s Gateway Mile | July 1

A free celebration, open to the public. A film about the life of the renowned musical composer, playwright, actor, dancer and singer George M. Cohan. Starts at 7 pm.

Independence Day Extended Flea Market
Shipshewana Flea Market, Shipshewana  |  July 2 – 4

The Midwest’s Largest Flea Market is open Monday, July 2 through Wednesday, July 4 for Independence Day from 8 am to 5 pm. The Shipshewana Flea Market is a do-not-miss Hoosier tradition with nearly 900 booths in an open-air market covering 100 acres. General parking is $3 per vehicle.

Celebrate the Fourth on the Farm

Elkhart River Queen July 4th Flotilla Public Cruise
110 Bowers Court, Elkhart  |  July 4

The Queen will sail up stream to the Six Span Bridge where she will start and lead the flotilla downstream to Martin’s Landing where prizes for the best decorated boats will be awarded. Live music provided by Circadian Soul. Boarding will begin at 10:15 am and will return to the dock between 3 pm and 4 pm. Price is $40 per person and includes heavy hors’ d’ oeu’vres, full-service cash bar as well as soft drinks. All attendees must be 21+.

America’s Freedom Fest
Goshen Municipal Airport, Goshen  |  July 7

America’s Freedom Fest is an airshow fireworks event that you won’t find anywhere else. In addition to the region’s largest fireworks display, you’ll find F-22 military jets, warbirds, Shockwave jet trucks, great food, and more. Come out for this event that combines the excitement of the Freedom Fest Airshow and celebrate with fireworks. Starts at 3 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
