Andrew Skipper Visits The Vine in Elkhart, IN
If you’re in the mood for a nice glass of wine and a relaxed vibe, The Vine in Elkhart is the place to go. Whether you stop in for a quick lunch or bring friends for a special occasion, be sure to take in the rich architecture of the historic building.
Located on Main Street in down town Elkhart, The Vine offers a bar, family dining, and an outdoor patio. In its former life, the building was a bank, and the old vault has been turned into a small wine cellar with murals painted on the walls and a table perfect for an intimate dinner.
When the weather is pleasant, there’s nothing better than sitting on the patio with a glass of wine and an order of bruschetta while watching passersby. The Vine is known for its pasta selections- the bowtie pasta and fra diablo are two favorites of mine!
With its convenient location just steps from the Riverwalk Culture Trail, The Vine is a perfect place for lunch as you explore downtown Elkhart. Their salads are fantastic! Try one of my favorites, the “garbage salad.” If you’re seeing a show at the Lerner Theatre, The Vine is only blocks away making it ideal for dinner before the show. There is always convenient parking with spots on Main Street or in their side lot.
The next time you’re looking for local dining options in downtown Elkhart, check out The Vine and tell them Andrew sent you!
