Fall Flower Carpet Fun at Elkhart ArtWalk
Catch all the action in downtown Elkhart, October 8, from 5pm-8pm, happening during the Elkhart ArtWalk. Come see the 2014 Elkhart Fall Flower Carpet Elkhart’s Central Park just off High Street east of Main Street. It’s a super-sized tribute to the mighty “Mohawk” No. 3001 steam locomotive on display at the National NY Central Railroad Museum. Plus we have tons of special, fun Fall Flower Carpet activities planned for that evening in addition to the regular ArtWalk festivities.
Enjoy entertainment from the cast of the Premier Arts, Drums Alive, The Elkhart Memorial Drum Corp, Elkhart Memorial High School Gold Rush Jazz Ensemble and Elkhart’s Mayor Dick Moore to kick off the celebration! Be sure to bring the kids. We’re giving them free train whistles!
Stop by the photo booth in front of the Lerner and get your photo taken. There’ll be tons of cool props you can use for your photo. We’ll share it on the Quilt Gardens/Fall Flower Carpet Facebook page and you can tag yourself!
More photo ops –track down the “Mo the Raccoon” character roaming Main St.; take a selfie with “Mo” and enter the Selfie Contest for two tickets to see Thoroughly Modern Milli at the Lerner Theatre!
Kids have a chance to win some great prizes too! Pick up a Fall Flower Carpet Train Trivia Entry Form then head down to the New York Central Rail Road Museum answering trivia questions along the way and at the museum. The museum is offering FREE admission that evening and kids get a free conductors hat. More info here
