Mouth-watering goodness Saturday at Wellfield Botanic Gardens

Where else can you start off with bacon-wrapped dates before moving onto pulled pork soul rolls and grilled salmon with golden quinoa and lobster Vin Blanc, followed by chocolate raspberry shortbread bars for dessert and wash it all down with a glass of wine or the finest brews from Iechyd Da and Goshen Brewing?
You can get it all in one place at the eighth annual Taste of the Gardens at Wellfield Botanic Gardens on Saturday, August 27, featuring 15 restaurants from South Bend, Granger, Elkhart and Goshen. The list of outstanding food vendors include Artisan, Bacon Hill Kitchen & Pub, McCarthy’s on the Riverwalk, Café Navarre and Dandino’s, just to name a few.
This year’s Taste features more spectacular art than ever, with more than 50 local and regional artists exhibiting their work for sale and enjoyment. Live music provides the soundtrack for the event, with great tunes from North American Brass Company, Michael Kelsey, The Whistle Pigs and Lalo Cura.
Taste of the Gardens has something for everyone, and proceeds will go toward further development of this community treasure, Wellfield Botanic Gardens.
